Robinson and Mathison releasedWednesday 9th July 2008
Manager Lee Bryant today confirmed the departures of Chris Mathison and Mark Robinson from the Badgers squad.Mathison, who returned to the side in June after a 2-year absence has opted to concentrate more of his time on his 11-a-side team Haven FC where he has been named club captain. A future return to the side has not been ruled out should the side be short of players.Robinson who played in only the 1 game this season, scoring 2 own goals has failed to show up at any of the matches other than the first of the season so has lost his place in the squad.Bright Sparks 7 - 0 BadgersTuesday 8th July 2008 The Badgers failed to capitalise on the chances presented to them and fell to an average Bright Sparks side. This game saw the debuts of ex-Gade & Goose forward Lee Owens and 16-year old Georgie.
